The collection is personally designed by the Fashion Designer through the technique of draping on mannequin, without any pattern making techniques and is made with the sup- port of the highest Italian tailoring and artisans, in partnership with Tessitura Bossio, a historic Calabrian weaving company that has its origins way back in 1966 and still uses looms by hand.
The Haute Waste Couture WITH-OUT ECOSYSTEM collection by Lu- dovica Gualtieri is 100% Made in Italy and a sartorial collection handmade from random waste fabrics from Tessitura Bossio, rethought and modernized so as to be reutilized.
Taking inspiration from the Calabrian soul and the artisan identity, the collection uses natural raw materials such as hemp, broom, linen and raw silk,enriched by the resort to techniques such as lace and embroidery. The collection prevents the wasting of fabrics by reusing them for production and as a motivation for creativity.
The goal is to be in fashion a light of hope for the new gene- rations, who want to be trendy without forgetting the tradition and the value of the past.
